Spire Work on Church Street and Montevallo Road

On Thursday, May 26, Spire will begin working on Church Street and Montevallo Road to upgrade pipelines in and around Mountain Brook. Work will begin at the intersection of Montevallo Road at Church Street and proceed west on Montevallo Road to Montevallo Lane. 

Crews will work between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on weekdays trying to avoid contributing to rush-hour delays. While this project requires crews to dig in the streets and, in some cases, yards, we are focused on performing our work safely and efficiently. One lane of traffic will remain open at all times during the project and we encourage motorists to drive with caution through these work areas.

Spire expects this phase to be completed this summer and they will make every attempt to reduce inconvenience to  the community along the way. When the project wraps up, they will completely restore affected streets, yards, and landscaping.
