Spire upgrading pipes in Mountain Brook

In order to continue to serve you with the safest, most reliable energy available, Spire continues to upgrade pipelines in Mountain Brook. On April 22, 2019 Spire will begin working at Canterbury Road and Greenway Road. Other streets included in this project are Randolph Road, portions of Fairway Drive, Country Club Boulevard and Montevallo Road. Our work on Montevallo Road will begin in early June, after school gets out for summer, and we will work to complete the project in August. Information regarding the upgrade project was distributed last week to residents living in the immediate work area.

In order to perform our work safely and efficiently, lane closures in our work area may be required. Anytime there is a need for lane closure, officers will be on hand to ensure traffic flows as smoothly as possible. Please drive with caution through these work areas. We believe that by working between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. during the week, we can avoid contributing toward rush-hour delays. You may also see us working on some Saturdays, keeping the project on schedule.

While we expect this upgrade project to take several months, we will make every attempt to keep the work as minimally invasive as possible on you and the community. And rest assured, when the project wraps up, we will completely restore all affected streets, yards and landscaping.
