October 9 Recycling Day MAP

Here’s how to get to the October 9 electronics and recycling event:
Location: Birmingham City Hall at Linn Henley Park, 710 20th Street North, Birmingham, AL 35203 
Please note: You’ll need to enter the site off of Park Place as short 20th street will be turned into a one-way street for the event
When: Saturday, October 9, 9 AM-11:30 AM or when collection capacity is met
Do bring (household quantities only):
Cable Boxes
Modems
Routers
Cell Phones and Tablets
Computers and Laptops
Cords, Cables, Wire, Chargers
Printers, Scanners, Fax Machines (Ink and Toner Cartridges)
Rechargeable Batteries (Rechargeable ONLY)
Security Equipment
Small Appliances (Coffee Makers, Hair Dryers, Irons, Microwaves, Toasters, Vacuums)
Televisions and Monitors (all types)
Regular Paper, Paper Folders (5 box limit)

Do not bring:
Cardboard
Binders
Binder Clips
“Bulldog clips”
Wet paper

Protec Recyling
If you want to keep electronics and paper out of landfills and waterways but can’t make it on Saturday, October 9,  you can also drop things off five days a week in West Homewood. NOTE: Certain items such as CRT monitors and televisions have associated fees.

Location: Protec Recyling, 135 Distribution Drive, Birmingham, AL 35209 
Hours: Monday-Friday 8 AM-4:30 PM
