 Traffic and Road Right of Way Division,

Hunter Johnston, Labor Supervisor (Street Resurfacing, Pot Hole Repair, Utility Cuts & Paving issues) 

Has the responsibility of maintaining the right-of-ways.  This involves keeping the streets and sidewalks clear of obstructions, cutting grass, and litter removal.  The ROW division also performs minor repairs to decorative street and traffic lights. Street and traffic signs are installed, removed, and repaired by a crew from this division.  This division responds during storms clearing trees and debris from road ways. Another important responsibility of this division is our annual street paving projects and coordination of permits and repairs of utility cuts. The village clean-up crew operates out of this division starting operations before dawn to clean Mountain Brook's villages.  This division also works with the Chamber of Commerce and other special interest groups to put up various decorations, work parades and close roads for events. Urban Forestry is supervised from this division as well.
