Urban Forestry

The Forestry Division has the tasks of overseeing the village beautification, maintaining trees, and help provide information to the public. They serve as an advisor to the city's  Board of Landscape Design. The arborists also speak to city schools, garden clubs, and several other groups. Don Cafaro (Senior Arborist), and Jerry Weiss (Senior Arborist), work with landscapers, merchants, tree removal companies,  Alabama Power, and other utilities to help with the city's citizens concerns. This is to insure the city is aesthetically appealing while maintaining our distinctive title of being “Tree City USA”.
