About Us

MBee, AL is the City of Mountain Brook's Bee City USA affiliate program, established in February of 2023.  Bee City USA is a national certification program offering cities a guide and framework for creating and supporting pollinator habitats on city properties and throughout the community, by means of pollinator habitat installation (native plants), reduction of pesticide use, and increased conservation awareness (educational events, website presence, speaking engagements, and outreach).  The city of Mountain Brook is recognized as the first municipality in the state of Alabama to become certified in the Bee City USA program.
